Ideas for Kids

The Easter season is one of the easiest when it comes to planning ideas for kids and activities they will enjoy. Children thoroughly enjoy this holiday. Everything from Easter baskets to Easter egg hunts, as long as weather permits, you can plan all sorts of outings related to this holiday just for kids.

Speaking of Easter egg hunts, this is one of the most popular of all activities held at Easter. It can be so much fun for everyone involved and can start in the kitchen.  All kids love coloring their own Easter eggs. So if you are organizing an egg hunt as part of your ideas for kids, they can start right at home by coloring and designing those eggs.

Once they are all colored and decorated, the kids can be decorating their baskets while waiting for the eggs to dry. Have plenty of fake grass on hand so the eggs will have a cushy bed to lie in. Also have plenty of glue, ribbons, glitter, paints, and anything else you can imagine that kids will want to use in decorating their own Easter baskets.

Now, you will need more than just one person to supervise this little operation because there will need to be adults or teenagers to hide the eggs as well as entertaining the kids while the eggs are being hidden. Locate your ideas for kids to stay busy and amused ahead of time so that you have any needed supplies for games on hand. If you have different ages in the party, be sure to have separate areas to hunt the eggs. Younger children will need to have easier hiding places than the older children so it will be fair for everyone.

When the children are led outside to hunt the eggs, make sure that you keep them all corralled so that they start all at the same time. Be sure to keep an eye on them so that there is a somewhat fair division of the eggs. You may also want to hide some plastic prize eggs among the real eggs. When it comes to Easter ideas for kids, those prize eggs are quite popular, especially if they have some really nice prizes locked inside.

After all the eggs are found and counted, have some food and drinks ready for everyone. You can keep it as simple as you want with this part. Kids don’t expect anything fancy. They just want to have fun and eat.
